The high temperatures can create difficulties in obtaining an agradable work welfare, influencing the productivity and the motivation of the employees. The solution in offices is clear, installing some airconditioning units. However, there are many places where its use is impossible or too expensive and harming the environment like in places as industrial warehouses, logistics centers, factories, workshops, hangars and marquees. The Port-A-Cool system only needs water and electricity to work, consuming a 10% of energy a tradicional airconditioning uses. Furthermore it is very easy to maintain and manage the unit in every area. The machine as well as the water tank are portable to cool the hot work places in the factories, warehouses and workshops, everything without any type of installation. Some of the models can work up to eight our without being connected to the water hose.

Many of our clients keep the Port-A-Cool evaporative cooler mobile. For them it is easy to move the unit to where the cooling is wanted. What is evaporative cooling?

The Egyptians, Romans and Greeks where the first ones using pads (at that time wet mats). Nowadays the heart of an evaporative cooling system is the pad where the water evaporates and the air passing through the pads is cooled.

Evaporative cooling pads, like Küül-pads are manufactured of fluted cellulose sheets that are glued together. This material is chemically impregnated with special compounds to prevent rot and ensure a long service life.

A special water distribution system spreads water over the surface of the pad, ensuring an uniform supply of water to keep the entire air contact surface thoroughly wetted. Fans create a negative pressure, causing air to be drawn through the pads. Evaporation results from contact between air and water. A control system operates the water pump and the fan distributes the cool air.
